It is a narrow strip of land 12 km long.
With its steep cliffs, its multitude of jagged points and bays (those of Galion, Trésor, Tartane), its wild coves, its dunes, its fauna and flora so particular the peninsula of Caravelle offers an authentic face of Martinique.
You will love this harmonious mix of sea and nature.
Attend a sunset by going to the end of the island towards the Château Dubuc.

Venture towards the small and discreet beaches that run along the peninsula. To do so, you must take the small paths that cross the sugarcane fields.
The Office National des Forêts has created two marked trails from the village of Tartane. The first one will make you understand the ecosystem of the 'mangrove', a kind of lake forest between land and marsh. The other trail forms a loop from Tartane to the Weather Station passing by the Caracoli point and the Dubuc castle, ruins of a famous corsair's house and then of rich sugar cane farmers built in the 16th century.
